It’s sheepskin. It feels soft and cuddly, and like most real lamb fur jackets, it feels thinner and more delicate than many other leathers. My wife’s Italian lambskin jacket has a thinner, slightly buttery feel.
The lower front pockets are unzipped and deep enough to drape the cuffs. I like that it’s cut diagonally as I’ve found that the vertical openings of loose belly pockets can tend to crease after a big meal.
I’m really glad I took the opportunity to get this jacket. Wasn’t sure what leather, stitching and craftsmanship to expect, but very happy with the product around me. This is a beautiful jacket! I am happy to find a beautiful jacket that fits my casual size, and doesn’t break the bank.
I bought it for my husband and he loves it. The leather is of good quality, it’s a great spring jacket. I’m petite and looks great on me.
The pockets in general are very good.
The two inside chest pockets (one with a zip and one not) have nice leather trims when opening, but they’re bigger than I’d like. I would say they’re about the size of CD cases.
The top front zip pockets are deep enough to put my flat hands all the way around.
