How to choose the right biker jacket

Think about use, fit, and material:

• Use: Daily city wear vs. motorcycle protection. For riding, choose jackets with reinforcement/armor pockets and sturdy zippers. For style-focused wear, pick softer lambskin or a cafe racer.

• Fit: Biker jackets should feel snug across the chest and shoulders so they don’t flap when moving — but allow full range of motion. Measure chest, sleeve length, and shoulder width before ordering (see our Size Guide).

• Material: Cowhide is the most durable and weather-resistant; lambskin is softer and more luxurious; goatskin offers a balance of suppleness and toughness.

Materials & build quality

We use carefully selected leathers:

• Full-grain cowhide — heavy, rugged, best for protection and a structured look.

• Lambskin — soft, buttery, perfect for a refined, broken-in feel.

• Goatskin — naturally water-resistant with great durability.

Quality details to look for: reinforced stitching at high-stress points, YKK or comparable zippers, plated snaps, and interior pockets for armor or phone. Many of our jackets include reinforced shoulder and elbow panels and discreet pockets for CE armor.

Fit & sizing tips

• Measure your chest at the fullest point, keeping the tape level.

• Measure sleeve length from the center back of the neck to the wrist.

Care & maintenance

• Keep leather away from direct heat and prolonged sunlight.

• Use a damp cloth for light cleaning; condition leather lightly every 6–12 months with a quality leather conditioner.
